The other night, there was a little party at YoYo’s and some of the neighborhood kids were around. Angie’s boy Carwyn (local boy, 4 months older than Becca) still wears diapers and puked all over a table without providing any advance notice.

Couldn’t be prouder of our little gal.

Becca’s been doing this for quite some time, but I realized I had not logged it. I have been encouraging Becca to say thank you. She seemed to do it mostly when we give her a bottle. Not only does she mispronounce it as simply ‘kyoo’, but she also seems to think that milk bottle is called ‘kyoo’. Very cute.

In the last week or so, she has begun to apologize when she inadvertently hurts someone. She says ’sorry’, which sounds more like ’so-ey. so-ey’. Very cute.

    Another exciting Becca milestone.

Yesterday, Becca and I were swimming in our landlord’s pool. Actually, I just hold her in the water, she doesn’t really swim yet. I’ve been trying to show her how to blow out into the water, but usually she just puts her mouth below the waterline, sucks a bunch of water into her mouth, and then playfully spits it out. But this time, we were hanging together in the water on the ladder by edge of the pool when, on the count of three, she took a deep breath and put her head under water *all by herself*. Then she went on to do it another twenty times. So exciting, at least for me.

Talking more and more, still only a syllable at a time, but lots of them. Cat, dog, bear, bird. Moon, hot, car, Pooh, Toy (for Toy Story), oom (Thai for pick up and hug), ping (for sleeping), teeth, mouth, hat, eye, ear, nose, head, shoulders, knees, toes, suay (thai for pretty), fish. Just to name a few.

The other day, Becca announced that she had to go make a pee-pee (yio, in Thai) and that we needed to open the door to the bathroom and come along to take her pants off. What’s notable about this particular episode was that she was wearing diapers at the time. Amazing!
