Becca’s English is improving steadily. More vocab, more expressions. She still does not articulate full sentences and sometimes when asked a question, she merely repeats the last few words instead of answering. But she is getting a lot more.

She is still a bit cranky in the morning getting ready for school. And though she might not cry on drop-off, she is undeniably sullen. But her teacher Alice (Australia gal, new to Thailand, but with some previous pre-K teaching experience in Oz) reports that she warms up quickly, plays great, gets along fine, and is just a pleasure to have in school.

As we pass11 months, Benjamin is showing longer periods of standing – maybe 5-10 seconds.

Also, he has figured out clapping, though not yet consistently.

Yesterday, he noticed a moth on the ceiling and pointed it out to us.

Finally, he is making “bababa” sounds. Excellent.
