Benjamin seems very bright, very bright.

Also, stubborn and willful. Grandpa Fred couldn’t be more pleased about that since he believes that people with their own inner fire, their own inner will for how they want things to be, are ultimately more successful and don’t get pushed around. Annie says – mostly joking, but not entirely – that if Grandpa is so pleased about it, then he can come here are raise the kid.

Benjamin has been biting Becca a bit lately. Clearly need to stop him from doing that, so last night when he did it, I scolded him and lightly tapped his mouth. Naturally he cried at being reprimanded and when Annie came in and asked him who did it, he turned and pointed his finger straight at me.

J’accuse!

Benjamin now climbs on everything.

He has managed to climb on top of the shelving at the head of our bed, on my work table (via a bed nearby), on my work desk (via a chair with wheels), and has even made a strong attempt to climb up an open-front bookcase using the drawers as steps.

Truly an exciting and dangerous time.
