Several months ago, it occurred to me that we really were not teaching Becca her family name. So, I began to work it into our conversations and she’s got it down. Of course, as the following typical sequence shows, there are still a few holes to be filled.

    “What’s your name?” I ask.

    “Becca Weinraub,” she answers.

    “What’s your brother’s name?”

    “Benjamin Weinraub.”

    “And what’s my name?”

    “Daddy Weinraub.”

    Mommy’s name gets similar treatment.

So, still a bit more work to do.
