Hard to explain why, but I’m so glad that my past includes a genuine connection to items like:
- rotary dial phones
- vinyl record albums
- eight track tapes
- black and white tv’s
- computer punch cards
- video casette recorders
- free to air TV with rabbit ear antennae
- handheld transistor radios
Every single one of these things is decidedly inferior to the modern analogue that replaced it. But I’m still glad that that I knew them.
