Last night after Becca finished her bowl of spaghetti, she asked for some more. As I left to get it, she called out, “Not a lot, just a smidge.”
Where did she pick up that word? Just love that little gal.

The kids each danced with their classes at the recent Children’s Day event at their school.

Benjamin
A note about Benjamin’s performance. You will notice that at some points in the song, he is looking at his hands, trying to get his fingers just right. He’s trying to create this hand/finger configuration:
Very cute that he is so concerned about getting it right.
What I said to my 17-year-old step-daughter (in my best broken Thai):
“You don’t need to go for every guy that smiles at you. You should have more confidence in yourself. You’re pretty. You’re going to have plenty guys interested in you. You don’t need to settle for some immature guy who is going to be jealous all the time. You should hold out for a guy who will treat you well.”
What she heard:
“Blah, blah, blah, blah. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. You’re pretty. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.”

Daddy, to Becca who has left the table and is playing her video game: “Becca, finish your spaghetti.”
Becca: “I don’t want it. I’m full.”
Daddy: “You don’t want any more?”
Becca: “Nope.”
Daddy: “You want me to finish it?”
Becca: “Yes”
Daddy: “Ok, I’m going to finish it.”
Becca, without even looking up from her video game: “So, what do you say?”
Daddy, appropriately humbled: “Thank you, Becca.”
Becca, crying: “Daddy, Benjamin hit me.”
Daddy: “Benjamin, why did you hit Becca?”
Benjamin: “I didn’t hit Becca.”
Daddy: “Well, why is she crying?”
Benjamin: “I punched her in the eye.”
